Neighbours tree roots appearing in my garden

Postby wando » Mon Jun 06, 2011 4:07 pm

Hi

Tree roots from my neighbours tree are appearing in my front garden, making it difficult to maintain the lawn. Can I dig these out?

Thanks

You can dig them out and cut them right back to the boundary

However it would be prudent to first put your neighbour on notice of the damage his tree roots are causing

Request he abates the nuiscance and that if not you will exercise your legal rights to cut back to the boundary but after that he will be totally responsible for any damage caused by their regrowth

You can install a root barrier to stop their furthur incursion into your land
