Just bought a lavender on the market, and i am wondering of it's ok to plant into a big ceramic pot, I would I be better putting it in the garden soil now.?

Thanks xx

If its french lavender it will not last through to next season

If its English lavender you can plant it in ground or in a large pot

We've got lavender growing in tubs, its quite happy there, moreso than it would be in the ground in our garden, which is rather wet.

Here's some information from the BBC site
