Tree affecting fence panel

Tree affecting fence panel

Postby GAFCJones » Fri Apr 19, 2013 10:05 pm

Recently moved into a property, and after six months, have finally got into the garden. Upon clearing one of the borders, I noticed a piece of string which was holding the fence panel to the post.

After removing it, it is now clear that the trunk of a tree in next door's garden is forcing the panel from the fence post.

I haven't spoken to them yet as I really don't know what the options are....can't see them cutting it down, don't want to bring my fence inside my boundary, therefore losing valuable space in my garden etc etc...

Any advice, or what the legal aspect is would be appreciated.
