Tree Heights

Postby jdfi » Sun Oct 19, 2014 9:46 am

Hello,

I am aware that any tree that overhangs the highway must be cut back such that a HGV truck 16'6" tall can pass without being touched by the tree.

Does the same height limit apply to pavements or footpaths, or is a lower more sensible limit applied there?

As the pavement forms part of the highway then the same height would apply.

Pavements 2.4m
Roads, 5.2m.

Neither "legal" clearances, just those are commonly used.
