Resident to be evicted from Care Home

Postby gardenlaw » Fri Nov 05, 2010 10:02 am

A resident of a care home, whose Enduring Power Of Attornet is registered, is being threatened with homelessness because her Attorney is disputing the fees and which as a result have not been paid.

Is the Care Home allowed to kick someone out for non payment of fees in this way? If the fees aren’t paid by tomorrow, she will be kicked out by Monday, according to the Care Home.

It is a criminal offence to evict anyone without a Court Order. How about involving the local press and TV?
