Possible problem form Oak roots?

Possible problem form Oak roots?

Postby louise » Tue May 03, 2005 7:28 pm

Can anyone help me with the following?

We had new neighbours move in 5 years ago, who have refused to prune the very large oak tree in their garden. As we are terraced, it is actually no more than 10m away from the house, and I am worried that the roots may start to interfere with the foundations.

We live on clay and one of our other neighbours had to have their house underpinned due to a similar sized Oak near to them.

many thanks

Pruning won’t have any effect on the roots. If you are in doubt get a surveyor to look at the house.
