Postby georgine » Thu Apr 09, 2015 11:13 am

Help, my neighbour has just pulled down the 6ft fence between us, i think it is his fence and put up 120ft of chicken wire. he is 6ft above us and we now have no privacy. his garden is like Steptoes yard. i do not have the money to put up a fence. what can i do, thanks

Hi georgine,

sorry to say he's done nothing wrong (not what most folk would do mind) and your only options are:

1. live with it
2. put up something on your own land as a screen
3. talk to the neighbour to see if he'll replace the chicken wire with something you both like
4. move

Kind regards, Mac
edit: all the above is based on him owning the original fence and the "120 ft" being the length of the fence rather than the height

Hi

You could grow shrubs along the boundary to provide privacy in important areas.

Kind regards

Usually best to stick to one thread - gets awfully confusing otherwise.
