A letter from the LA about our fence

Just a quick update.

I did not send a letter, instead the council dropped letters through our doors to advise of a meeting in the car park one evening to discuss with all.

The upshot is that the council do not accept that they have caused any damage to the fence and will not make any monetary contribution to its replacement. However as a goodwill gesture they have offered to take the old fence away and to make the ground level.

A few of us in the close will put the new fence up and we hope to get the materials for around £1000 which makes it about £100 per household.

I think that is a good outcome?!
