Fence Maintenance

Fence Maintenance

Postby tj@mills39 » Sun Mar 20, 2005 3:21 pm

A developer has constructed a driveway along MY fence and at one point the level of the driveway is about 3ft above the base of my fence and about 3-4ft away resulting in a steep slope down terminating at the base of the fence.
Am I entitled to a flat area at the base of the fence to allow me to maintain the fence?

Well one thing is for sure any water flooding off the driveway will fall onto your fence and rot any wooden fence posts

So you need to start making one hell of a fuss with the developer plus go to the council offices and check his planning consent and building regulations plus ask the Buildings Regulations Inspector for your area to call and see you ............he should have been involved at each stage of any building works the developer does
