Can my neighbours cut down my trees?

Postby trina63 » Tue Apr 12, 2011 3:20 pm

I have 4 mature leilandii trees at the bottom of my south facing back garden. My next door neighbours, many years ago purchased the bottom of my garden. Thus, their garden runs in an "L" shape. They have a large plot next to me then it goes around the bottom of mine.
The trees shade my garden but due to south facing position, they still get light in theirs. Trees are in front of my house, but not facing theirs. They believe they have the right to cut my trees down to 6 foot. Can they do this?
