Noise when felling trees

Noise when felling trees

Postby Janieb » Tue Aug 15, 2017 3:47 pm

I've now had 2 days of this. Local housing authority are removing trees over the bottom of my garden wall. It's very noisy and intrusive. Should they have informed me? My real bug is that the land concerned is within the red line of my property boundary circa 1951. The farm behind me was compulsory purchased in 1974 and they seem to have thought they bought the bank behind me as well. When I looked it up on the land registry site it's also on the housing associations site as theirs. The local County Council say it's part of the highway. To be quite honest as it's part of the highway whoever owns it, it shouldn't be in anyone's control but highways.

Since felling trees is noisy should they not have told us it was happening?

Well it would be courteous, but do they have to. No.
