Tree surgeon refuses to clear up mess on neighbours land

Tree surgeon refuses to clear up mess on neighbours land

Postby despair » Tue Sep 19, 2017 3:41 pm

I wonder how many innocent neighbours are caught up in a situation where tree surgeons cut hedges and cuttings all land up caught in trees bushes shrubs and plants etc of the innocent neighbour who gains zero benefit of the hedges

The one employing the tree surgeon is elderly and gets very distressed if neighbour dares to advise they are unhappy with the resulting mess and even insists tree surgeon is so very good

Tree surgeon refuses to return and clear up the mess and takes umbrage because innocent neighbour is upset

Whats best way fwd as the mess created means a car load full headed for the tip after hours of clearing up

Its all going to get very messy if councils start charging for any trip to the tip too

Best way forward is for no one to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Surely it's all dependent on what the contract with the tree surgeon stipulates.

The hedge growing 85yr old neighbour thinks the tree surgeon is utterly wonderful has paid him no doubt in cash and wont hear a word against him and turns on the tap and the shakes if subject is mentioned ....always has myriad of excuses and sure would be very forthright if boot was on other foot and they were on receiving end of the mess

If the tree surgeon is tackled about the issue the response is " they have a job to do "

As for mountain out of a molehill the affected neighbour is well over 70 and has enough without clearing a mess they dont want

Unless they live in a stately home with a border 200m long I can't imagine that the fuss getting it cleared up with a rake (and deposited back over the boundary), or simply letting it turn to mulch, is going to be greater than turning it in to a long running saga.

Its circa 200ft boundary and turning to mulch in a hurry is definitely not in the nature of chunks of either species thats been cut

So it does need clearing
