Re: Neighbour trying to 'steal' someone's cat

If it’s a male cat and it’s not neutered tell your friend to get it neutered and then keep it indoors for about 3 weeks whilst the travelling edge of un- neutered cat slowly dissipates . Neutered cats tend to go no further than 1 or 2 gardens away from home. Even females that haven’t been done can t...

Re: Reattaching Fence Post To Boundary Wall

When the party wall surveyors checked things afterwards they noticed that the fence post was no longer secured and stated that it must be reattached. Seriously what is going on here and why are we talking about deeds. You need to read the partywall award. I take it based on the above somewhere in t...

Re: Reattaching Fence Post To Boundary Wall

Chemically fixing a gate post won’t last . Screw it in . It was part of the award so the neighbour can’t say anything

Re: Advice re. Private home owner v social housing encroaching on my land

There are only three ways forward . Accept the trespass Take them to court. Or self help. If it’s trespassing you can remove the trespass because it’s your land (if you are 100 percent sure it’s on your land) and provided you do your best to prevent damaging it as you take it apart they would have a...

Re: Neighbour built wall on our land - what do we do?

What do you want to happen . Do you want it removed or would you be happy using it as part of your extension . Getting it removed could be a very long drawn out and expensive battle in the courts which may not completely go your way even though it’s trespassing so attaching to it and using it as a o...

Re: paying for unwanted electric gates

I live in a complex of 3 homes sharing a drive. Access to each home is via a wooden 5 bar farm gate. The gate cannot be locked, but is sometimes open, sometimes closed. It has been this way for 30 years plus. Two of the neighbours have decided they want to replace the wooden five bar gate with an e...

Re: Buying part of neighbours land

question is, could I also add measurements on the maps ( to say 10cm accuracy) so things cannot be disputed by future owners due to the thickness of the red line and all that sort of issue? Initially I would not fence between the two areas, only later if I only sold one. thickness of red lines mean...

Partywall act has got nothing to do with them trespassing into your airspace . Send them a letter telling them to remove it .

Re: Applying for adverse possession vs threat of trespas

The case you posted is for registered land. I said previously If the lease is registered you gain the right to the land under the terms of the lease and they can’t surrender it My case is for a unregistered lease as the lease the OP is dealing with is also unregistered . As I also said previously If...

Re: Neighbour ROW abuse

1. They are using the pathway to gain access to my LHN garden because they are friendly with one another, not to access their property from the road . This is Ok 2. They have stood on our patio multiple times to talk to LHN at the gate (they were stood on our property) for periods of time, then retu...
