Have a very large glass of wine You're committing no offence if you're not blocking anyone in.
Having a very large glass of wine might put anyone over the drink-drive limit. Better wait a good long while after having it before risking moving a car.......

This is where a photo/map/sketch/plan/streetview comes in handy for comprehension.

Re: Resurfacing a Right of Way

Your rights as owner of the gate are to remove it if you so wish......if you choose not to remove it then I suggest that you thank the kind person who takes the time to close it for you. This is a non-issue being escalated unnecessarily. There is clearly ill-feeling due to former disputes so people...

Re: Resurfacing a Right of Way

Another heated discussion with our neighbour today. He pounced on me as I was coming out of the garage and started on about everything. I asked if it could all just stop because we’re all fed up of it. He said it will never stop until we let them have access to their top garden through our garden a...

Re: Resurfacing a Right of Way

And again tonight. Swung into my drive, parked my car and up he comes and shuts the gate. I told him I was capable of shutting the gate myself and any more of this rubbish and I will remove the gate. He came running over to me again so fast he almost tripped himself up ‘You can’t’, I told him I cou...

Re: Resurfacing a Right of Way

Remove the gates. You've threatened to, now follow up on that or you'll be seen as a bluffer and a push over.

Take them off for a week or two whilst you refurbish them. No hurry with finishing the job either.

Send your message.

Re: Parking and obstructions

Put up a gate and lock them in. Or a collapsible bollard. Switch the inconvenience back onto them.

Re: Advice on finding a surveyor to determine boundary?

begin by removing a few of the hedge plants at the bottom of the garden to test his reaction. Timid and fearful, the action of a loser and someone unsure of their situation. This attitude and behaviour is what the bully thrives on. If you're going to take action then take action that sends a clear ...

Re: Advice on finding a surveyor to determine boundary?

Do that. Do it now for the sake of your own mental health. Engaging with this type of character only feeds his antisocialism. Throwing stuff into your garden like that after a conversation like that only demonstrates his contempt for you and his sense of dominance and domineering over you. He thinks...

Re: Advice on finding a surveyor to determine boundary?

No point in talking to an idiot unless you have the cure for his idiocy. Take your photos and films of current situation just for the record.

Then kill the hedge and gub up the remnants. it's on your side of the fence, it's your hedge. Get rid of it. let the idiot fester in his own bile afterwards.

Re: Fence moved to create a parking space & new road!

Thanks again. The neighbours I have spoken to, who live off the affected path, are as one in believing something should be done if the shop owner is not going to re-fence. It looks like the only possible option is a barrier on the private tarmac. If the land-owning neighbour is happy to put in a co...
