Re: Development of a studio built in a garden

No I'll leave that to you, but I do have empathy. Dealing with some people from cultures that have different values than what we regard as acceptable can be a challenge.

That is NOT to pass judgement on other cultures, just to accept that they can have different ways of doing things.

Re: Vehicular ROW dispute - claim of false deeds!

Yes, I agree. The conductor was the great Jack Parnell who led the band that backed all the great singers in London including Billie Holiday.

Re: Development of a studio built in a garden

It is entirely unnecessary to reference where the neighbour comes from. Also, reference to the neighbour having "African values" is equally inappropriate. Having worked on the Accra Docks Project in the early 1980s, I am not so sure; paying 'dash' to all in sundry was common place (and expected) in...

Re: Vehicular ROW dispute - claim of false deeds!

Good singer with an excellent band led by Jack Parnell, Jack was one of our best drummers.

Re: Neighbour's quadcopter camera over my garden

There's a dwindling number of people in the Rosenberg Appreciation Society - you are one, Rosenberg another and the third selfimploded and she is no more!!! .....................but that's not the purpose of your post - is it?? Your response confirms my point. ...............so the red is in praise...

Re: Neighbour's quadcopter camera over my garden

It is a pleasure to read the posts from Rosenberg since they are all written with a command of the English language. May I suggest some of the problems he is experiencing with one particular forum contributor is due to the latter's probable ability to read written English but inability to comprehen...

Re: Neighbour's quadcopter camera over my garden

I clearly stated the reason why it was a pleasure for me to read Rosenberg's posts; this was due to his correct use of the English language, nothing else. I'm not so sure about that. For example, his sentence " Do you feel like you are being manipulated at all; like your thoughts aren't entirely yo...

Re: Neighbour's quadcopter camera over my garden

Given how appallingly rude OP quickly became in this thread your choosing to comment on his use of English and your statement that you thought his posts a pleasure to read is beyond comprehension. Presumably if Mein Kampf was well written you'd have found that a pleasure to read too. You do presume...

Re: Culvert Installed by HA

Given that the spoil was for flood defence work then the EA would be the client for these works and the main contractor for the works is ultimately responsible for the actions of the contracted drivers who drive off roads and cause damage. Hence EA would likely require the flood defence contractor ...

Re: Culvert Installed by HA

I do not know, there has been no consultation with the HA. The ditch has existed for centuries to drain an adjoining field. The area and road is in a flood zone and prone to flooding, I understand now that several people living in houses along the road have expressed concern to the HA that the damag...

Culvert Installed by HA

I fully understand that in common law it is the responsibility of the land owner for the maintenance and repair of a ditch that borders their land and a highway. Recently a large HGV drove into a ditch and during its long recovery process (most of a day) caused much damage to the highway bank and ro...

Re: Advice on finding a surveyor to determine boundary?

The reason I thought a more thoughtful approach may be considered beneficial was that I understood that the OP had expressed the view that he loved the hedge and it was just the nuisance trimming of his hedge by the neighbour that was the main issue. Getting the neighbour to accept that the OP is wi...
