Just in case people haven't seen my other post... Our solicitor kindly tried to help us register the land as it was featured in our original conveyance map. This failed, see a partially redacted response form land Registry below. ###################### I have reviewed the file for this title. When t...

Correcting Land Registry and Planning Permission Help

In 2015 we purchased our home only to discover that we have some unregistered land at the end of our drive. Our solicitor kindly tried to help us register the land as it was featured in our original conveyance map. This failed, see a partially redacted response form land Registry below. ############...

Re: Claim Unregistered Land

Thanks for your time everyone. I think I have it now. Essentially I am OK to build the gate. And... The land in front of the neighbours drive is likely adopted. I am not trying to be a NFH I could rant about the neighbour's activities that have brought me to this but I won't bother you with that. I ...

Re: Claim Unregistered Land

If this is related to the other topic with the neighbour accessing your road, ownership is not the issue . The issue is ,is it highway ,because even if you own it, If its highway you cant fence it or stop others using it.. Thanks ukmicky... That was my next question but how do I find that out? I ca...

Re: Claim Unregistered Land
does it help what?
Sorry if I wasn't clear.

The map in the original conveyance shows a red line that marks my property boundary that encapsulates the unregistered land.

Doesn't this prove that I am the original owner of this unregistered land?

Re: Claim Unregistered Land

Does it help that the original conveyance map dated a year before the house was built seems to include the unregistered land within red outline?

It's a very odd shape so it does seem rather clear on the proposed development.

Sorry only just noticed this as I went through the docs.

Re: Claim Unregistered Land

The map you got from highways does not show the full extent of the land in your area that is classed as highway. It only shows what they have adopted. Most areas along side roads become highways through dedication. I'm no expert (obviously) but doesn't the SIM (mentioned earlier) indicate that it i...

Re: Claim Unregistered Land

Sorry for the delay.... Hi DIYBath, where did you source that map? and does it reference the width of the highway? and does it explicitly reference the land is not included (rather than it being outside some lines that have been added to an OS map)? kind regards, Mac I got the Map from "Buy A Plan" ...

Restrictive Covenants - Neighbour Access

We have a difficult neighbour and I need to understand my rights and options RE a gate that facilitates his behaviour. Unfortunately, we are not talking on the advice of the police and I have to make a decision on the following. My neighbour has back access onto the road via a gate that doesn’t seem...

Re: Parking Problems Alternatives to Drop Kerb

I think I will stick with the ramp and if I get complaints I can talk to the contact point about my options.

I don't want to have to shop all my neighbours to the police, there are approx 6 families involved.

Yes, yellow lines would be great but who would I talk to about that?

Re: Parking Problems Alternatives to Drop Kerb

I would prefer something less serious so H markings would be ideal as a solution.

Except that it's my understanding that the H markings extend only as far as the drop kerb but that won't help stop the cars parking opposite.
