removal of personal chattels

My brother died in January this year. His long term partner died 15 months previously and her mother 9 months before her. On the death of her mother, she brought chattels to my brother house. They were never married and her family have inherited all her and her mother's chattels. Valuable items have...

Re: right of way

I have another question. I presume the deed of grant for the ROW is registered on our title deeds with the land registry and with our neighbors title deeds with the land registry. We did purchase an annex in 2018, which has been added to our registered title. It is connected now to the barn. Will th...

Re: right of way

hello, The barn is just about finished. Bit of painting and landscaping to do. Our neighbors have not challenged any builder or tradesmen for using the ROW. They have said they will challenge the guests using the barn and prevent them from accessing it with a vehicle. They propose to put sign on the...

Re: right of way

Hello again, Can anyone explain to me what point 2 in the deed actually means. I am more than willing to contribute to the upkeep of the ROW. At present I am laying aggregate to allow traction and I am cutting back the overgrowing bushes, which impede the width of the ROW. Can anyone explain what a ...

Re: right of way

Our builders are accessing the ROW with a transit size van and a smaller one. They have not been challenged for travelling up and down, put have been challenged once once for parking to unload materials. We have had tractors and trailers accessing the ROW to take away soil and rubble and deliver the...

Re: right of way

We are a few weeks into the renovation and have tried to use alternative measures to get materials on site via another neighbour. Ferrying materials over his hedge. He has been amazing. The ROW has been partially dug out and aggregated. We will finish in suitable material after the builders have gon...

Re: right of way

Thanks to you all again. We wrote back to the solicitors about two weeks ago and have heard nothing. We have had a tradesman assess the ROW and he is doing the ground work early in the new year. The builder erected scaffolding on the barn on Monday. During the exchange yesterday my neighbour said sh...

Re: right of way

HI, As I went out to open the gate onto the ROW I noticed that they had had some logs delivered. The delivery driver was just about to leave. I went back into the house for a short while, then came out again to see if the logs had been moved. They hadn't. I drove onto the ROW and took a photo on my ...

Re: right of way

I did manage to video some of the incident on my phone.

Re: right of way

We are going to give it one more go ourselves.
Will Base the letter on advice given on this site. If they then refuse to see reason, we will engage a solicitor from a good company. We have been recommended one already.

Thank you all.

Will keep you posted.

Re: right of way

So our next move will be to acknowledge the letter sent to us this week, then engage someone who does ground works and proceed with making the ROW fit for purpose

Thanks everyone.
