Re: Damaged Fence - Ownership dispute

I need to be confident of my options before I confront them about it as I know they will just say it is my fence so my problem. Thanks for any input. There are only three options for the ownership of that fence: A Wholly owned by you. B Wolly owned by the neighbour. C Shared. The best evidence for ...

Re: Boundary issue

I am concerned that you continue to be pushed on to the back foot by your neighbour, and the main boundary issue remains unresolved, and will continue to be so. That gate, as Mr Sheen points, out, should be unambiguously screwed shut in a visible manner that your camera records - a timber bar acros...

Re: Damaged Fence - Ownership dispute

What type of fence is it, how old are the properties? Does the fence line up with anything of known ownership? I believe the fence is called featherboard. Properties approx 15-20years old. Will try to attach basic diagram but fence lines up with garage block. According to land registry the boundary...

Re: Damaged Fence - Ownership dispute

Hello all, As present there is a damaged fence running along the boundary with a side neighbour. It is an old wooden fence and the recent weather has broken a post and caused it to lean over to my side. I believe it is my neighbours fence and they believe it is mine. The issue is complicated by the...

Re: fence put up 1" from my garage

Can anyone tell me, someone has started squatting land next to my garage, they have put a fence up next to my garage, looks totally weird, its about 1" from the side of my garage, its a wooden fence and garage is solid, makes it hard to maintain or reach garage, are they allowed to do this? it...

…someone has… ….put a fence up… ….about 1" from the side of my garage… …are they allowed to do this? yes, someone is allowed to erect a fence are you allowed to use someone else’s land to access the side of your garage without their permission or an easement? that’s the question you first need...

Re: Rights of Way and land ownership

We have encountered a problem applying for a footpath diversion between 2 plots of land we own, the footpath splits the land in 2 and is close to our house. It has come to light while working with the council who seem to be supportive of the diversion, although I own the land either side of the pat...

I have a wire fence, my neighbour has a hedge.

What type of hedge is it - mixed native hedgerow would be the ideal.
