Have you gone to your library or local history soceity to see if they have arial shots at the time before No 4 was sold That would give you proof of whether the raised bed is original or has been added Planning permission plans have no legal validity whatever in this issue ...its the deeds and the t...

Theres something very odd with all this and maybe its simply a beligerant neighbour or maybe the developers have slipped up or the conveyancers ...land registry response sounds rather defensive and makes me wonder if someone ekse has rattled their cage ....do you have legal expenses cover somewhere ...

I suggest you need to phone Land Registry and ask if they have any other papers filed

Other than the strange neighbours you both have sounds idyllic ...my grass is full of bare patches totally destroyed by the drought along with a host of plants that have keeled over i am begining to despair of trying to tend my beloved garden

Well if the otherside of the building has no proper surface water drainage they may be in breach of building regs ...depends when the building was erected i suspect

I think your overplaying how much water storage you would need during winter to use during the summer but i understand your concerns

I suggested long ago that you would be well advised to harness and store the rainwater for your own benefit especially given the summer we just had

I used every drop of my stored rainwater and needed far more

EBay has a good source of Debris netting thats £10 for 5 metres of 2 metres wide that would solve your issue
