Re: Neighbour appropriated some of my garden

Arborlad certainly has never come up against intransigent stubborn neighbours because the quietest politest chats over the fence or down the pub or even involving mediators will not shift stubborn bullies

Re: Returning/not returning trimmings to neighbour

Ukmickey No one is suggesting your doomsday scenario but increasingly houses with tiny gardens are being built next to those with very large gardens and huge hedges and trees Thus depending on prevailing winds the small garden is inundated by tons of leaves and possibly by overhanging branches Equal...

Re: Fence Height / Advice?

Suggest best way fwd is to invite the neighbour round to view things from your side and also explain 2 metres is the height without PP If they wont play ball and planning wont intervene suggest you put trellis on top of your fence all the way across and plant a plethora of climbers like clematis (wa...

Re: Restrictive Covenant

I just love how council tenants who generally will for many years have paid very low rents then get to buy the house at a huge discount then also wants to retain all the financial benefits from development Maybe thinking about hard pressed council tax payers stumping up more and more to fund the Rig...

Re: Fence Height / Advice?

Have the neighbours raised their garden level ? I would suggest that in extending they have used the spoils to raise land levels and are trying to raise fence height to boot ....however They are not allowed to pile soil etc against your fence and any fence can only be 2 metres from their natural soi...

Re: Dreaded Leylandii

The danage occuring to the landlords fence is the thing to highlight to the landlord

I agree with previous advice ...dig and chop off e ery single root
Cut back very very hard right to the trunk every branch ...the weight of the trees will pull them over into the landlords garden

Re: How to be an NFH?

Long may peace remain in your happy abode

Sadly NFH comes in various guises and some golk never ever experience one whilst others having lived in peace and harmony with other neighbours for 50 years can suddenly be confronted with nothing short of hell from a new neighbour

Re: Fallen leaves and fruit

I think one of the best suggestions came from Arborlad

A trebuchet sending squishy rotten apples over the fence should make your point very eloquently indeed

Do make sure you soaked them in Roundup first though !
