Re: Forum Update

TO THE MODERATORS: It seems that more of Rosenberg's posts have been deleted here, which makes it difficult to follow what's been going on. All I can see are (presumably partial) quotes in other people's posts. I've been on the receiving end of his insults on at least two occasions, so he's hardly m...

Re: Boundary dispute including unregistered land

... The neighbours fence I believe is sited on the ‘blue land’ . We still have space to install our fence to adjoin the end post of our neighbour on the side. When we put up our fence I assume the rear boundary will become the small couple of inches gap that will exist then between the two fences. ...

Re: Party Wall Act

Thanks Uriah. Yes, I'm feeling much better now though I'm still hobbling a bit. I have had the flashing replaced as it had been lifted and the mortar to the side prised out - presumably by A/H neighbour. The chisel marks are clear evidence. I've also taken steps to secure the whole area, but don't w...

Thanks everyone for replying and sorry I have not replied sooner - I've been in hospital for a few days. Fell off a ladder while trying to inspect damage domne to my roof by neighbour. Fortunately the ground broke my fall. Unfortunately it also broke my ankle, sprained my wrist and gave me concussio...

Re: Party Wall Act

Thanks very much for the info ukmicky. Since posting my question, I have found an old query which you and Conveyancer kindly addressed for me some years ago, and that has refreshed my memory somewhat. (See https://www.gardenlaw.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=11859 .) If I understood rightly, Conv...

Party Wall Act

Hopefully a simple question: does anyone know whether the Party Wall Act 1996 is the latest legislation on the matter, or has it been superseded / updated more recently? (FYI: My issue relates to a wall that was external to my house - on my side of the boundary - but which neighbour has subsequently...

At the risk of sounding like Sherlock Holmes, I would infer that every summer you get through a very small bottle of SPF100 - or you have found a novel use for an old sock.

Re: Wall into fence? Highway adjacent or not?

We’re hopeful to keep the first 2-3 rows of bricks of the walls as they are 1 brick thick and still sound. Thinking somehow fence on top of that of rebuilt the columns and insert smaller panels then we still have the base of the original wall. I will get photots taken of both sides and the height. ...

Re: Neighbour's quadcopter camera over my garden

You might not mind your wife being photographed in the censored but I do! People like you SHOULD be on a database. Which ones are you on already? EDIT: What, I can't say n-u-d-e now? What's wrong with this site? Thank you for your concern for my wife Rosenberg. As far as databases are concerned, we...

Re: Wall into fence? Highway adjacent or not?

Hi IdefixUK, I read this: that Part (c) allows you to replace the wall with a fence up to the height of the existing wall then you’ve misread it - there’s no mention whatsoever of “replace”. kind regards, Mac The phrase 'maintained, improved or altered' would seem to cover it. Surely replacement wi...

Back-garden maggot breeding

The self-sufficient New Age numpty next door is now building a maggot farm in his back garden . I suppose it's another of his otherworldly gardening obsessions: the maggot condo is located on what must be the spiritual hub of his garden, right next to his flow-form and his pentagram of compost...

Re: Wall into fence? Highway adjacent or not?

I wouldn't have thought that your LA would be able to prevent you from erecting a fence the same height and length as your existing wall - although maybe a more informed member will have a different opinion. How old is the wall? I would take plenty of photos of the wall and its ivy covering - and co...
