I suggest you look at your buildings insurance policy or ring the company to see if you are covered for this kind of thing.

Many thanks Treeman. My neighbour is a farmer and the cable runs from one barn to another but I don't think he will have installed it himself. From what you say though I am still not liable for any costs which pleases me. This man has already cost me lots in solicitors fees over a right of way issue...

Many thanks for your replies. My neighbour says the overhanging branches are touching an electric cable on his land and maintains it is a potential danger. I am not knowledegable about these things and don't know if he is correct but wonder if it is a potential hazard whether that alters what treema...

Hi - my neighbour wants us to carry out some pruning to a tpo'd sycamore within our boundaries. Please can someone tell me if we are bound to bear the tree surgeons costs if our neighbour successfully applies to the council for the work to be carried out. We don't mind him having the tree pruned but...
