With not seeing the crossbow bolt travelling from one garden to the other I wasn't sure if the police would be interested. The police a...

Re: 6 Metre Beech Hedge Blocking Light

Hi. We are buying a house which is still being built by the developer. Approximately 4 metres from the front of the house is the neighbour’s boundary consisting of a beech hedge currently standing at around 6 metres high. If you imagine you’re looking straight out of our front door, so in a North N...

Re: 3 not wise men

thanks Alyson I seem to remember probate being quite quick when my mum died, but that was well over 20 years ago, and she didn't have much, The estate of the brothers mother is over £250,000 does the amount affect the speed of the process? or the fact they were already power of attorney, or that it...

It is possible to gain a grant of probate in six weeks, dont be lulled into a false sense of security by thinking you have lots of time.

It means that the person owns the benefit of the right of way, that is he benefits from being able to use it.
He does not own the legal ownership.

Re: 3 not wise men

If the neighbour's admission to a care home was a "primary healthcare need" then she may have qualified for NHS Continuing Care which means that her care is paid for by the NHS. This would mean that her home would not be vulnerable for use in paying care home fees. Even if she is eligible for paying...

Re: 3 not wise men

Enduring powers of attorney and LPAfor property and affairs are administered similarly.. EPAs only have to be registered with the OPG if the donor loses capacity. LPAs can be registered when the donor or attorneys wish, often when they are first written but not necessarily, EPAs can be used without ...

Re: Dead tree problem

Its also possible the property is not even insured if the old owner had no insurance the trustees wont find it easy to start a policy only continue an existing one Probate tends to take 6 months these days plus if it hits IHT they have to find the 40% IHT up front which is iniquitous unless the old...

Re: Tree Replacement Notice

A 2.5m tree will cost, can you plead poverty? Alternatively leave the tree to die a natural death. Or plant the new tree and if it should fail to thrive, so be it. I've just had a PINS decision back (appeal dismissed) where the appelent pleaded poverty following felling a dangerous tree under an ex...
