Re: Out of control trees causing damage

No grounds at all. If you want to troll, please do it on someone else's thread. You have this totally wrong.

Re: Fence installed. Neighbour furious. Need advice.

It sounds to me like you have been reasonable and have done nothing wrong. You have merely sought to protect your own boundary and get some privacy back. I know it is difficult once there has been bad feeling but I don't think you need to feel defensive about your actions.

Re: Criminal damage

And I am not acting in a neighbourly fashion by attempting to screen an eyesore? Really? As for renovations, they carried on for months and were mainly in the evenings and at weekends. We complained ONCE on a Saturday night at 11pm, having been woken up that day at 7am by drilling. Yes, very neighbo...

Re: Criminal damage

No Mr Sheen, your summation is totally inaccurate. The dispute began when said neighbour began pushing his bins in front of our house. Would you find that acceptable? Would anyone? Said neighbours were renovating and hadn't yet moved in so hard to talk to them and each time we knocked no one answere...

Re: Criminal damage

Mr Sheen, please do me the courtesy of reading the thread properly before commenting. Said neighbour has never disputed the boundary lines. All the neighbours have the exact same amount of land at the front of their properties. My worries were merely that potentially there could be an issue. THERE I...

Re: Criminal damage

Criminal damage is a determination that the police and CPS make. If you are involved in an on- going boundary dispute the police may not want to get involved and actually have important things to do. Community support officers may have achat with both parties to try to keep the peace. The problem y...

Re: Criminal damage

Oh wow at that! I won't even dignify most of that rant with an answer. But I am not keeping anyone in the dark about their boundary. There has been no boundary dispute. I originally posted because I was concerned there *might* be but no one has ever challenged the boundary. We all have exactly the s...

Re: Criminal damage

Well, I am not surprised that the mediation route has not happened. We had major doubts that it would work since there is nothing on our side that we can offer. But it was put to us that it would look bad on us if they agreed and we refused so we felt pushed into agreeing. The neighbour has probably...

Re: Proximity of neighbours trees

I cannot offer any practical advice - these guys are far more expert than me - but I will say from previous experience with a neighbour issue, it really can go either way. Depending on the person, neighbour relationships can be soured or a reasonable neighbour will see things from your viewpoint and...

Re: Criminal damage

Re: Criminal damage

I should not have started a new thread? So many different issues coming from this neighbour.

I stress, no boundary issue now at all. It was never questioned by him.

Re: Criminal damage

Sounds like a dispute to me....and every dispute has 2 sides. Doubt police will be interested in bent over plants or this sort of squabble. Time to do the adult thing and talk to each other and be reasonable and try to sort it out. Some people do not act like adults. I have tried, believe me and I ...

Re: Criminal damage

Hi This isn't a boundary issue. He seems to accept the status quo of where the boundary is (where it has always been). The issue is and always has been that he is determined I will not have screening and still see his bins. He also wasn't happy about the rocks I put in to stop him pushing said bins ...

Criminal damage

I have very clear CCTV footage of my neighbour pushing back red robin bushes that were firmly within my boundary and stamping on them and trying to break what would be newly planted bushes. Does anyone know if this would constitute criminal damage even if the plants aren't yet ruined (just bits of b...
