TPOs - how do we know

Post by Uriah Heap » Fri Sep 02, 2016 1:51 pm

Quick question. If the Council put a TPO on a tree, do they have to inform us?

We have been here longer than the tree so if we havent heard anything in all that time is it safe to assume the Council have never placed a TPO on it?

Thanks.

They are supposed to serve the paperwork on an array of people

The TPO register is a matter of public record, some LA's have them on line, others you have to ask, you can do that on the phone

Hi,

"Does my tree have a TPO?"

"It does now!"

You get a letter with a notice of a provisional TPO - you then have an opportunity to object before they make their final decision.

We had 2 trees in our garden slapped with the provisional one - only one made the final cut (now on the point of expiring).
