An unusual winter visitor

Look what I found this December morning, I have lots of stick insects in the summer months but I have never seen one this late in the year.

He's lovely! Wish we had stick insects in our garden, never seen one other than in an insect house. It doesn't seem like the most likely winter visitor.

We don't have stick insects in our garden either. The poor thing must be cold.
