It’s not fixable by pointing. One section has broken across the middle leaving the top half leaning back it’s held up by the ivy that has ultimately broken it and a corner curved section has pivoted along a mortar line just 2 rows up.

Any chance of a photo?............... there's a couple of fixes that may be possible.

The wall could be enclosed on both sides by wire mesh or weldmesh, joined together through the wall. No issues with planning, no issues with the curve, remains dog proof......................

I’m trying to work out adding photos but not being very successful! Will keep trying.

Hadn’t thought of something like that, def worth looking into.

If it’s also not to bad it can be forcibly straightened ,repaired and skimmed with concrete

Not from the way it's been described.

This is the whole section in question. The part with the ivy tree wobbles.

This is the leaning back section

That is not bad, I was expecting a lot worse.

I’ve pulled down and rebuilt a longer wall my self over 3 week ends on my own.

I also would not be replacing that with a fence and to do so would reduce the value of you your house. Get a quote to perform a partial rebuild and repointing of the whole wall.

Most of them bricks will be reusable and by the looks of it you won’t have to take it apart all the way to ground level and the remainder can be repaired and repointed . It’s a two day job for a couple of brickies and the results will be aesthetically more pleasing than a fence . You don’t even have to go to the same height if you wanted to save on costs as you will lose a few bricks as they are cleaned up.

Don’t use the people who laid the drive however, that grey border has not been laid very well

Thanks Micky, not sure how half of the photos ended up sideways.

I have no idea who did the patio bit, we've only had the house 6 months and the wall was something we knew about but just the leaning part.. the swivelled bit happened in a storm in march. Ivy attached to it in the wind took the wall.

Good to know you think they could be rebuilt up. Brick walls are a whole new ball game.. used to fences! x
