how do I keep kids off fence

Post by CoffeeDrinker » Fri Jul 15, 2011 6:11 pm

What can be used to keep kids off a 4 foot fence in front of house. Anti climb paint/spikes etc would not be allowed there. I have googled and cannot find anything suitable

Paint it, regularly.

Its not nice sitting on wet gloopy paint, especially when there is also a big wet paint notice
to make it obvious.
Any comments I give here are my own opinions, for legal advise check with a qualified solicitor.

Why would anti-climb paint not be allowed?

Try playing nice classical music within earshot of the kids.

That will keep them away.

Or some Des O'Connor.

That would keep EVERYONE away.

The only problem with both is they might leave a sticky mess on the fence and fence treatment wont adhere

you might well be able to get some large size Pyracantha plants

Use anti climb paint and then when parents complain, say it was just stain but you don't know why it didn't dry properly....and the worse that can happen is that they take you small claims court for a new outfit? Who really could be bothered to do that?
