Aerial shots

can anyone give me links to somesites as to where i could get some good aerial shots from the early 50s to present day please.

I would have thought finding '50s photos will be pot luck (especially for free). You may be able to find some of the Luftwaffe's WWII archive!

For current aerial shots http://local.live.com is quite good. You will need a good internet connection though. Put in your post code, then once you zoom in enough you get a choice of bird's eye or aerial views. Coverage to the highest magnification levels is not complete though and picture quality varies.

I tought the war ended in the 40's :shock:

You can buy good aerial photos from Ordnance Survey, Southampton.
I advise as an experienced layman whose dispute via Courts lasted 5+yrs. Try to avoid this route©

ROFL, have you tried google earth? you can zoom right in on your house( or you holiday destination etc) not sure abotu usage of the photos afterwards ( ie downloading) but you get a really good view of my next door neighbours old car :D
