I guess the crux of this is ..............does your neighbour hate all leylandi hedges or is it a personal vendetta against your hedge and you

Did he do the same to the previous owners of your house or previous neighbours he lived next to elsewhere

If the trees are on the boundary then i doubt that the roots are solely on your land

I do not condone any of your neighbours actions and suspect that like my NFH he is an abject bully who thinks he can do what he likes and get away with it because the Police and our laws are so weak

I do know that its been repeatedly said that if the victim of such behaviour is of ethnic origin and the aggresor is English/white then the Police and CPS soon act but if you are both English/white they wont do anything

Not justice in my book and a hard situation to accept

Tired Mummy

Even if you rip the hedge out and lay down so this bully can walk all over you the problem will not stop

Pay no attention to Raymond he has some strange streak in him that enjoys saying nasty things

With Bullies sooner or later they go OTT and their lies catch up wth them but you need to be one step ahead and get them caught on CCTV or by witnesses .

I am well aquainted with their behaviour .....do contact me privately via this board if you would like offline help

Makes sense to me. :D

Keep cctv pointed at it as well so if he does do anything you've got proof.

If it was me I would indeed replace the trees with a fence 2metres/6ft6in high and install a CCTV camera if it picks up a bit of their garden tough so long as the majority is aimed at your property

If the fence is forward of the property be very sure it tapers down to 1 metre adjacent to pavement or road

No two people will tell you same thing on that one. All I'll say is that when our neighbour was damaging our fence we set a cctv camera up that to catch him, and to do that we had to have some of his garden in the shot. The cctv caught him in the act and the police were more than happy to take action against him. Nothing was said about us filming our neighbour on his land.
