loss of privacy

Post by griffswan » Tue May 31, 2005 11:35 am

I have just had an almighty shock. My neighbour at the rear (our gardens back on to each other) has decided to remove her conifer trees. These trees were approx 20ft tall. This has meant an immediate loss of privacy and a less secure house. I have spoken to the owner who has told me that she has no plans to put up a fence or do any work in her garden, which is a state. Currently there is a small fence, on our side, which is now totally inadequate.
Does she have to take measures to replace the loss of privacy or is it all on me? What are my options?

Unless your neighbour is required to do so by their deeds they do not have to errect any fence.

Unfortuantley for you, if you require the privacy then you may have to provide an adequate shield to afford it.
