Forum Update

Post by gardenlaw » Thu Mar 01, 2018 12:36 pm

Hi All
I am sorry to hear that some of you are still having problems with the forum. Just to let you know that next week gardenlaw is scheduled to be updated to the latest version of the forum software. I have asked that the cookie (staying logged in) problem be looked at at the same time. The problems we have had with Searching and Private Messaging should also be sorted out with this upgrade. We will let you know what date it is scheduled for when we know. The forum is likely to be down for a while whilst the work is being done.

Apologies for the inconvenience both past and present. Thank you for remaining loyal! It means a lot to us.

best wishes
gardenlaw

We have asked for it to be backed up before it is updated.

Hi All
Just to let you know that we hope gardenlaw forum will be updated next week. We've asked for a date and will let you know when we know. Unfortunately, as this is major update, the forum could be down for as much as 3 days. We apologise in advance for this and hope you will understand. We are hoping the update will also solve the long running Cookie issue and remaining logged in!

Hi All
Despite our efforts we have been let down once more. The developers agreed to upgrade gardenlaw this week. (There is a test site site and this works well as far as we can see.) Unfortunately the upgrade hasn't happened and they have not responded to our email. Please bear with us as we try to make this happen!

Hi All
We have been told by our developers that gardenlaw forum will be updated from Monday. As a result the forum will be closed for a few days from Monday. We can't say how long this will take. Our sincere apologies for this inconvenience but we do hope that the upgrade will sort some of the ongoing niggling problems that have gone on for some time.

Well, something seems to have worked, now able to search and haven't been logged out yet. 'New Posts' now seems to be hidden within 'Quick links' (top left) and 'User Control Panel' is hidden within Notifications (top right) - much preferred the previous locations..............hopefully just teething problems that are easily sorted.
