Doesn't stop facebook announcing birthdays (for those willing to trust them with the information).

Why?
There'll be a reason for it being locked.

What was that reason?.................there was/is absolutely nothing about the OPs contribution to justify it.

When Jd007 came here looking for advice, he received it, lots of it. When Jd007 needed the forums help the most, you removed it by the shameful act of locking the thread.

Your reasons for locking the thread are as nought compared to the harm you did to the entirely innocent victim here - Jd007.

There must have been a good reason.

Threads don’t get locked for no reason.

Its also possible it may have been a reason we have no right to know about.

No reason can be good enough to counter the adverse effect it had on Jd007, the innocent victim of that locking.

I wonder if Jd007 will share that view.

Highly unlikely, but if there is, it will be connected to the poster of the book shop ad.

Just be aware that OPs may ask for their threads to be locked. Locking threads, however, is extremely rare and always is with good reason.
Has the OP asked for the thread to be unlocked?
JD007 has not posted anything for 4 years.

The last known post by Jd007......................you can make up your own mind whether it's the words of someone wanting the thread locked or the words of someone who desperately wanted help.

Hi everyone got some update on my case... I got a letter from the court on the 28th of july which wrote:

upon reading a letter from the claimant

IT IS ORDERED THAT

1. matter islisted for a preliminary hearing in 9th September 2015 at 10:00am with a estimate of 15 minutes to consider whether this claim raises the same issues as claim aaaxxxand weather it should be struck out.

2. parties to file at court and serve on each other any evidence upon which they wish to rely on at least 7 days before the hearing.

3.because this order has been made by the court on the application of a party without notice of the hearing being given, any party may apply to have the order set aside or varied withen fourteen days of service of this order.

__________________

from what I understand I have to explain that this is same claim as before ( which It is ) and hopfully that's the end ?

also letter was dated 10th july, the envelope I got the letter from was "posted" on the 27th july I received on the 28th.. am I right in thinking option 3 is not possible ofr me as 14 days are already finished for me even before it was posted to me..

would be great if you lot could I hope one lsdt time give any advice what to say or provide to show its the same case.. on well judge finally puts a end to this for ever

If he wanted it opened I sure he could have asked for it to be opened up again or he could have started a new thread.

It’s possible after posting in it on the last occasion he took legal advice and was advised by his legal team to dis-continue posting on here in case the other side became aware of the thread or for some other reason.

Maybe he just had enough and just wanted to forget about it all .

If he did ask for it to be closed and it’s opened again without his knowledge he may not be happy. Is it worth taking the risk without anything from him saying that is what he wants. I would say it’s probably better to err on the side of caution unless he can be contacted

When the thread was first locked, I tried by e-mail and PM to either get the thread unlocked or get a good and sufficient reason for the locking - I got no response.

When the above had failed I posted the same request on the open forum - those threads were locked and subsequently deleted.

When the thread was first locked, I felt that the hapless Jd007 was the innocent victim of the evil that was the poster of the bookshop ad. That ad is there to this day as witness to that statement.

No, that would be the worst thing he could possibly have done.
