I use mince meat from a jar, thinly sliced marzipan, rum soaked fruit, brandy soaked cherries/mixed fruit and alternate what I use so they don't get boring.
The tops come off easily, so extra goodies can be put in with ease. It is far nicer to make your own, but shop bought mince pies with a little extra filling of your own are far cheaper and nicer than ones they say are extra filled.
Just a little tip for mince pie lovers this Christmas.

We always heat ours up in the microwave and put brandy cream on top, this might be overkill for some, but it should be compulsory really.
