Boundary Wall between neighbour and green belt

Post by Abanaza »

We have some land that is green belt. Our neighbours garden borders onto this land.
We would like to build a brick wall on the boundary but am unsure as to the legalities of this given one side of the wall faces residential and the other faces greenbelt.
Demystifying the facts from the fiction, that’s all we want 8)

Unless your land is also one of these: National Parks, the Broads, an AONB, World Heritage Sites, and Conservation areas; you should not need PP as you retain your permitted development rights for a boundary structure up to 2m tall. Would be useful though to get a lawful development certificate in case rules change in the future so you can demonstrate to future buyers that the development was lawful when it was built.
